He is a Senior Plastic Surgeon at Sir, Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi after taking voluntary retirement as Head of the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery at Maulana Azad Medical College and Lok Nayak Hospital, New Delhi. He is an Internationally acclaimed Burns and Plastic surgeon. He is the Founder President and the Executive Director of Asia Pacific Burns Association (APBA), President, International Society For Burn Injuries (ISBI) (2014-16), Past President, Assoc. of Plastic Surgeons of India (2005) & National Academy of Burns- India (2004), Chairman, Burn Healing Foundation, Chairman, IPRAS 2009 World Congress, Chairman 2018 World Congress of International Society for Burn Injuries (ISBI), Executive Trustee, Association of Plastic Surgeons of India 2011 onwards. He has published extensively in peer reviewed indexed journals and contributed Chapters in reputed textbooks. He is also on the Editorial Board of several international Journals. His interests in the specialty are Burns, Aesthetic Surgery, Reconstructive Surgery, Congenital anomalies, Hand Surgery, Facial Fractures and genital reassignment surgery.
